We had quite a busy morning on the 16th. Emma had two places she was supposed to be at at the same time. When I had her try out for the Days of 47 mini royalty, I didn't realize that the parade she would be in was the same morning as her Up With Kids performance. It was hectic but we made it work. Thank goodness for wonderful in laws who took Anna that morning and saved us some spots at the Bountiful park for the play. As soon as Emma was done riding on the 1940's fire engine for the Days of 47 youth parade, we literally ran to the car to get her to Bountiful. She got into her costume with about 15 seconds to spare before she went on stage. It's a good thing her group didn't come on until the third scene!
The play was "The Little Mermaid Meets the Pirates of the Caribbean." Very cute.
Here is Emma in her mermaid costume.

This is the fire engine the mini royalty rode on.
It was a hot day. Emma was dripping before the parade even started. Still, she kept smiling.
The three girls were given the yellow corsage you see her wearing.
After the play, we went to Five Guys for lunch. Yummy. Then we went to our favorite stores in Bountiful, Ross and Barnes and Noble.
