After the parade, we went to the park. There were food and craft booths and games. Emma did the slide (head first) and the bouncy house. In the evening, we went to Helen's for dinner. None of the Bankheads came, but a lot of others did, Grandpa Bud most importantly. Mattson and Catherine came up from BYU. We had a nice night chatting with everyone. We forgot Emma's swimming suit and she was dying to get into the pool. While she was wading, Alan told her it was o.k. if she "accidentally" fell in - so of course she did. Fortunately, we had clothes we were taking to the D.I. in the back of our car for her to change into. Back at home, Emma did a few sparkers. Anastasia was fascinated and watched the light going back and forth. Later, we watched fireworks from our house.
