I decided that our Spring break project would be the play room/guest room in the basement. Even though there were shelves, Emma wasn't using them. Plus, there was more stuff than shelf space for it (my stuff included). A couple weeks before the break, we went to IKEA and got a couple shelving units. Then on the Tuesday after Easter (the day after we got back from Park City) we cleaned up the room and took down the Noah's arc border from the previous owners (FINALLY). The next two days I built the cabinets and organized the room. Then the girls and I had fun picking out a couple new items from Ross to add to the room. So, out-of-towners, your guest room is waiting for you!

I have some garden starts growing in the window sill now.
It's not perfect - we couldn't get the wallpaper glue off and it needs to be painted, and I need to find some other curtains, but it is definitely better than before. I had fun working on it. Anastasia was ignored more than she should have been but she'll enjoy the play room during the summer. My desk is down there so I think we'll be spending the summer in the basement (away from the computer and t.v. more than usual hopefully).
Next year's project - the master bedroom.

Don't you just love Ikea???!!! The room looks great! What about the other room where we slept? :) Any updates there?? (Not that we have a plan to come to Utah anytime soon :(
The office downstairs will have to be another year's project :>
