Christmas Eve and Christmas

Hello everyone. We had a lovely holiday. On Christmas, we had Alan's parents over. Per Compton tradition, we made English Muffin pizzas. We read Luke 2 and sang some Christmas hymns. Later, we had the pie I made from a Better Homes and Gardens magazine recipe. It's a pumkin chocolate cheesecake. Very yummy. If anyone wants the recipe, let me know and I'll post it on my blog. Last, Emma and Anastasia changed into the pajamas they got from Grandma and Grandpa Compton.

In the morning, we looked at our stockings. Then we just had cereal for breakfast. Then we had to get Alan back out of bed so we could open presents. Thank you all for your Christmas gifts. Calhouns, thanks for the digital frame. I already have it up and going in our living room. Dad, Alan thinks the big history map is really cool. And mom, I love the boots and sweater I got with your Christmas money. And Marin, the baby clothes are really cute, especially the reindeer socks. I'll have to add some pictures later of the cute outfits Grandma Carol made for Emma's doll and for Anastasia. She's a real pro with the sewing machine.

All of the Ashtons were able to come to our house for Christmas dinner. We had a great, if noisy, time squeezed into our living room.

Here's hoping you had a Merry Christmas too! Love, Adrienne

The tickle me Elmo makes everyone laugh except for Anastasia, who just eyes it suspiciously.
